We were supposed to have gone to Cleveland this past week for a concert, but I got sick with a cold and we said goodbye to the trip. Instead, I spent a lot of time sleeping and reading.
Last fall, I was
able to see the Ai Weiwei exhibition at the Royal Academy of Arts in London.
For most of this year, the RA has the exhibition online.
Good stuff this week: Essays on “The
Raven” and George Orwell. Ben Lerner ay Poetry Magazine asks “Do you hate
poetry?” An explanation of why suffering so often seems to come with your
calling. It's possible to follow several people who lived in 1066 on Twitter. An article in the conservative National Review that makes more sense about the presidential election than anything I've seen yet. Some beautiful artwork from Jack Baumgartner.
And one of the
most moving videos I’ve seen recently is a short film from YesHeIs, about the
love of a husband for his wife.

What is Love? – From YesHeIs
Such a moving video . . . Brought me to tears.
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Glynn!
What a remarkable couple in that video. What is especially wonderful is the smile she has, knowing she is loved. Thank you for sharing that story, and for including me poem in the roundup.
ReplyDeleteThank you Glynn. This is such a peaceful, beautiful place.
