The life of Enoch

After Hebrews 11:5-6 

We know little of him,

this son of Seth,

this father of Methuselah,

a link in the chain of man. 

It is said, it is written 

that he walked with God,

and that’s all we need

to know of Enoch.

 

But we also know

one other thing, that

he was taken up,

he disappeared and

he did not die.

And the reason:

he was commended

for pleasing God.

It’s the walk

that matters.

And it’s often

a very slow walk

indeed.
