After John 6:1-15. 24-40
Fed, and fed
well, they follow
as he walks
down the mountain,
down to the lake.
They find him
on the shore
opposite, and,
surprised he's
there, they question
him, seeking the bread
he spoke about.
the bread he offered,
wanting it
always. I am
the bread,
he says; I am
here to feed you,
to sustain all
I’ve been given
and to raise it up.
Eat this bread, and
you live forever.
