Light and Its Absence
Watching light
come through panes,
refracted by color,
suffusing a soft
glow of warmth,
a washing radiance,
reflecting particles
of dust and movement.
Watching light
fade, blocked into
clouds, cooling
the glass, its
growing absence
moving into coldness,
the air clearer
without the light.
