Everything that rises

Thirst, actual need
requires a certain
structure to satisfy,
and so the frond is
designed fan-like,
a collection system
to channel droplets,
to siphon moisture
like so much knowledge
to the central
nervous system,
a convergence
of hydrogenated wisdom.

Great train of thought stemming from structure and functional design. Tight, creative write that sets a nice parallel between human bio and plant life.

ooooOOOOoooo nice transcending piece Glynn. If we wait long enough all creation points us to a designer. This is tight.

"hydrogenated wisdom"

Yeah, I'll drink to that.

Your metaphor is most apt, and words written with a naturalist's eye.

I think only you could have come up with "a convergence / of hydrogenated wisdom". Quite a memorable line.

Lovely science type poem illuminating collection of water and wisdom. All the s sounds that run through the piece make it slosh wetness.

Very creatively written-- the parallel between the structure of the fan-like plant and the human nervous system... suggesting a smart common design.
