In the arena

After Galatians 5:16-26

Gladiators approach each other

oblivious of the roars of the crowd

sight more important than sound

in this context, a clash

then silence

as sounds clash and strike,

rings echo across the arena.

The crowd grows silent,

watching violence clash

with peace, knowing a choice,

imminent,

must be made.
