A singularity of wheat

After John 12:20-28

The kernel of wheat

sways with its brothers

in the wind, its stalk

moving back and forth

with the others until

this kernel, a singularity,

falls to the ground,

its descent the dance

of death. Its death

gives birth to an ocean

of seed erupting from it,

the dance of life.
