After Isaiah 24
A day like any
other
when the wind
stills
the birds quiet
the rain dries
oceans calm
and the music
stops.
No one hears the
tambourines.
The darkness
rolls across
geography, plundering
the landscape
plundering the
people;
floodgates open
foundations
tremble and shake
then break
reality tears
apart,
shatters into fragments
of forgotten memory.
