Betrayed and hunted

After 1 Samuel 23-24

No good deed goes

unpunished, as he

learns for saving

a city. He knows

only because he

asks in prayer,

prayer answered if

not with welcome

news. So he prays

and waits. He’s

chased and hunted,

and he prays, and

he waits. He never

anticipates; he never

asks without seeking

and receiving,

his answer. If

the news is

unwelcome,

he accepts

it anyway.
