Silver time

To walk with you
in silver time
is to know
a baby’s laugh
a first snow
a summer moon

To walk with you
in silver time
is to sense
a softness shimmering
white sheets warming
an unexpected rose

To walk with you
in silver time
is to see
the hand of God.

I like the layers of meaning this contains, love, love in age, God. I like the use of silver and white throughout, for even a rose can be white and that all these things can shimmer, including the light of God. Very nice.

A love poem that's lovely in its simplicity and yet multiple meanings. I especially like "white sheets warming / an unexpected rose". A beautiful line, Glynn.
