The stranger
built a house
at the edge of
town, not
the center,
although
both land to
improve
and houses to
rent were
available at the
center.
The small house
was built
quickly at the
edge of town,
its porch and
door welcoming
the light
shining through the windows
and the
invitation inscribed by the door:
knock and enter.
