The gift

After Matthew 7:7-12 

If you ask,

if you knock,

if you seek,

you have a promise,

the promise that

your question

will be answered,

that your quest

will be rewarded,

that the door

you knock upon

will open.

No cruel jokes,

no pranks,

no surprises,

but only

what’s asked,

what’s sought,

what’s knocked upon.

It’s that simple.
