Everything that rises
Thirst, actual need
requires a certain
structure to satisfy,
and so the frond is
designed fan-like,
a collection system
to channel droplets,
to siphon moisture
like so much knowledge
to the central
nervous system,
a convergence
of hydrogenated wisdom.

Nice. Very nice.
I really enjoyed this one, Glynn.
Great train of thought stemming from structure and functional design. Tight, creative write that sets a nice parallel between human bio and plant life.
Solid lead-up, love the last two lines.
Very beautiful in deeded, nicely done
nothing is random, even in our creation and nature that surrounds us...with purpose.
ooooOOOOoooo nice transcending piece Glynn. If we wait long enough all creation points us to a designer. This is tight.
Beautiful !
I like the painting of your words in literal simplicity.
Very much appreciated the methodical
Approach you took in breaking this poem down into it's photographic counterparts Glynn
..a convergence
of hydrogenated wisdom....wow - love this glynn
//hydrogenated wisdom.// woww I totally loved the term
beautiful write
Glynn this is a great write, I enjoy the tempo'd way you carry us through the image. Wonderful ~ Rose
"hydrogenated wisdom"
Yeah, I'll drink to that.
Your metaphor is most apt, and words written with a naturalist's eye.
I think only you could have come up with "a convergence / of hydrogenated wisdom". Quite a memorable line.
Lovely science type poem illuminating collection of water and wisdom. All the s sounds that run through the piece make it slosh wetness.
~brenda

I even loved your words :)
Very creatively written-- the parallel between the structure of the fan-like plant and the human nervous system... suggesting a smart common design.
Wowzer, I wanted to read more than it was done. #great
