The dwelling

After John 1:14-18

Logos became flesh and
in so doing made
a dwelling, a house,
a reality among us.
Logos is not words but
Word, the Word
whose only known writing
was writing in the sand,
leaving no record
except faith. The Word
without being written
lives forever in his dwelling.

Truth is

After John 1:14-18

Truth is always incarnational.
Truth is not only a word or words
but truth is a deed, Truth is an act,
deliberate, demonstrated daily,
lived out daily, not confined
in the mind or intellect but
bursting forth from the chains,
artificial and unnecessary,
we weight it down with. Truth
breaks free of artifice and
artificiality, and walks the streets
where it is understood.
