Saturday Good Reads: The Music of Rich Mullins Lives

He died 16 years ago, but his music lives on. Brandon Heath and Third Day recently recorded "Creed."

I miss him so much. John and I were groupies when he worked for Word. I'll never forget the day Rich died. We had been up in Michigan for a football game, and I flew home early and got the news first. I called John. We both broke down on the phone. I can't tell you how much of my spiritual journey I owe to Rich Mullins, probably including my recent veer to Catholicism (which, he didn't convert but sincerely appreciated).

His stuff, like Keith Green's music, was - and is - still the most moving music for believers out there. I love how faithful these artists were to the original's feel and intent.

Thank you, Glynn. Such a powerful statement of faith.
