In God's heart, I am...

I thought of the words
I could write in a poem
to answer the question posed:
in God’s heart, I am – what?

The heart: organ of life, suffused
with blood.

Words flow into the what
as blood drips from a wound
in the side, as blood is sweated
in a garden, as blood flies
like tiny globules from a scourging,
as blood seeps from a bruised face,
as blood congeals from thorns
in the forehead.

Take, drink: so much blood.

In God’s heart, I am.

Over at Faith Barista, Bonnie Gray has asked the question, how would you fill in the blank: In god’s heart, I am ___________. To see other posts, pleased visit Bonnie’s faith carnival.

Oh, how awesome that you put a period at the end of the sentence. "In God's Heart, I am." I really am in God's heart. Your words have blessed me.

Yes! Just being in God's heart is enough.
Thank you!
May God continue to bless you and keep you in his heart!

I too find comfort and inspiration in the period at the end.

Beautiful.

Oh. I am. What a perfect reply. Without him, we are not. With him--in him--we are.

Oh yes. We both exist because of Him and we are steadily in His heart. Quite powerful, Glynn. Thank you.

What would we be without Him? Nothing, but with Him, we are. Very powerful post! Thanks!

Nice poem. The only time I ever write poetry is when I am depressed. That's why I couldn't be a poet. LOL.
