The
wrestling match was a draw
until
he barely touched my hip,
and
I fell broken, or did I fall
from
the moving ladder, jostled
from
my place, or did I see I Was
wrestling
with myself, an argument
about
ascents and descents, one
with
the other or both together.
The
descents were more numerous;
the
ascents more holy.
