After Colossians 3:1-14
Remove – kill – what
is earthly, the earthly
self, the one known
for immorality, evil,
covetousness, idolatry,
anger, malice, wrath,
slander, obscenity,
lying, all of it, all
that is known and
familiar, that old self.
Put on the new self,
the one known for humility,
compassion, meekness,
kindness, patience,
encouragement, forgiveness,
and love, the love that binds
it all together, binds perfectly,
binds in harmony,
the new self.
