I
listen to the rain, trapped
within
my walls, fearing
to
brave the storm, waiting
until
it relents, allowing
me
to walk the garden, free
of
damp, of wet, of cold
the
rain continues
I
remain within
my
walls, dry
and
warm, my heart
safe
from the storm

It was lightning, thunder, and steady rain that woke me this morning. The sound of rain ignites the contemplative spirit in me. I like how you tuck the rain in the walls. That image resonated with me as I am dry as a bone writing wise, yet I want so much to let flow the uneasiness of my soul. Thanks Glynn.
