An unveiling

a vision given

if not understood

a vision so terrible

I was struck dumb

and sick, appalled

ask for explanation

receive nothing but

go your own way

sealed unto the end

ask why, stunned

flattened into frightened

submission, hearing

only the silence

roaring in my ears:

you are an instrument

you are not a vessel
