A crimson stain

After Isaiah 63:1-3

Dressed in splendor, garments
of a crimson stain, a crimson
redemption as the blood poured
out, flowing into hearts and souls,
a quickening of the dead, life
ransomed from the decay of death,
transfusion pouring through veins,
the blood pouring, flowing, streaming
from the treading of the winepress,
grapes crushed and liquefied
the first time and in remembrance
as often as we drink it,
staining our garments in crimson.
