What a wonderful snack this will be

Don’t know much about vitamins,
don’t know much about phosphorus,
don’t know much about calcium,
don’t know much about nutrition.
But I do know enriched corn meal,
and I love my maltodextrin, too:
what a wonderful snack this will be.

Don’t know much about losing weight,
but I love my carbohydrate,
and my fats and my sugars, too,
artificial flavor don’t make me blue,
but I do know my sodium,
and love those calories in the tum,
what a wonderful snack this will be.

Okay, so Marty Duane Scott is a Cheetos fanatic (they have cheeseheads in Wisconsin and orange tongues in Iowa). He dreamed up this idea of a Cheetos poetry contest, aided and abetted by likeminded villains (at least, that's what I've heard).

How could I resist that? And I don’t even like Cheetos.

So if you want to see who else has indulged in waxing poetic about this famous snack food, go visit the site and see what’s snackin’.

Photograph: Bag of Cheetos Crunchy, taken by the poet of this blog who paid 75 cents to a vending machine at work so he would have a prop for the photo. The bag is still sitting – unopened – in my office.

I saw this first thing when I turned on the computer this morning, and I ended up singing as I read. Told y'all Cheetos are evil. I can't sing!

Oh my goodness. This is a favorite. And the caption you put under the picture just made my day. Promise me this:

Leave those Cheetos on your desk until the right moment arrives. You'll know the moment when you bump into it. Maybe those Cheetos, since you don't like them, will be given to a coworker having a bad day.

Like I said, you'll know the right moment. Because when you (or someone else) opens that Cheeto bag, it'll be post worthy. You'll write about it.

At least I hope and pray.

Nobody should be a hater of Cheetos. There must be some divine reason other than a photo why those Cheetos are sitting on your desk. :)

I can feel it.

Chester feels it.

We all can feel it!

Love it! You did a much better job with the ingredient poem than I did! :-)

How did I miss this yesterday?

As soon as I read the first line, that tune entered my head!

Fun!
